Eau Claire, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey team took to the road once again this weekend as the traveled to Lake Forest, IL for the 2019 Lake Forest Invite. The tournament featured three nationally ranked teams and No. 6 Eau Claire would take on No. 10 University of St. Thomas in the first round of the weekend. With both teams looking for ranked wins, the two Midwest powers would skate to an eventual 1-1 tie.

Neither team would find the breaking point before the third and overtime periods hit zeros, concluding the game in a 1-1 tie.
Erin Connolly (Sr. – Mequon, WI/Homestead) stopped 17 of the 18 shots she faced to bring her career average up to 92.6% and a season record of 5-1-1.
