Connolly tabbed finalist for CCM/AHCA Player of the Year Award

BOSTON (Blugolds.com) – Erin Connolly (Sr. – Mequon, WI/Homestead) was named a finalist for the 2019-20 Laura Hurd Award. The award is given to the CCM/AHCA Division III Women's Player of the Year.

Connolly had a standout season in her fourth and final year at UW-Eau Claire. With career highs in wins (20), save percentage (94.8%), shutouts (9), and goals against average (0.94), Connolly was awarded the WIAC Player of the Year and a first team all-conference selection.

Sponsored by the American Hockey Coaches Association, the Hurd Award honors the memory of former Elmira College standout Laura Hurd. A 2005 graduate of Elmira, and a four-time All-American, Hurd died in an automobile accident shortly after graduation. She was the recipient of the AHCA Player of the Year Award in 2005.

The recipient of this year's Hurd Award will be announced on Thursday, March 26.
