NCAA Mandate Bans Spectators From Championships

INDIANAPOLIS (Blugolds.com) – Due to a release from NCAA President Mark Emmert regarding COVID-19, the Women's and Men's Ice Hockey Quarterfinals will be held with no spectators.

Any tickets that have been purchased will be refunded. The NCAA will allow an exception for families and a certain amount of tickets (number yet to be determined) per student-athlete will be allowed.

The UW-Eau Claire women's team will host the NCAA Quarterfinal round on Saturday, March 14 at 3 p.m. and will face the winner of the UW-River Falls/Gustavus Adolphus game which will be played on Wednesday, March 11.

The Blugold men will host their quarterfinal round on Saturday, March 21 at 7 p.m. and will face the winner of the Lake Forest/St. Thomas game that will be held on Saturday, March 14.

Both quarterfinals will be held at Hobbs Ice Arena. Links to the live stats, live video stream with play by play and radio will all be available on blugolds.com/gameday and on the "UWEC Blugolds" app on your mobile device.
