EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey team has announced their 2019-20 schedule.
After reaching the NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive year, the Blugolds will look to add to their record setting seasons after capturing the WIAC Championship O'Brien Cup for a second time in program history. Last year, Eau Claire recorded the most wins in program history with 21.
"We are going to be a young team with 15 newcomers complementing our 12 returners," said Head Coach Erik Strand. "Every game is important, but almost right out of the gate when we compete with a fierce competitor in nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus College, we will be tested early and often."
The Blugolds will go through a five-game set with four programs who finished in the top 10 in the national rankings last year during November 23rd – December 10th. These teams include Hamline University, Elmira College, University of St. Thomas, and University of Wisconsin-River Falls. During this stretch, Eau Claire will take on Elmira College and the University of St. Thomas in the Lake Forest College Invite.
