Track and Field's Lueck and Waldhauser named Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Kyler Lueck (Sr.—Germantown, WI) and Bailey Waldhauser (Jr.—Loyal, WI) have been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Lueck competed at the Iowa State Classic on Feb. 14, placing sixth in the open 800-meter run.  Running in one of the top NCAA Division I indoor meets in the country, Lueck was the only Division III athlete competing at the meet and clocked in at 1:50.05, placing sixth out of 47 runners at the meet and notched the top time in all of Division III.

Competing at the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) Showcase on Feb. 14, Waldhauser finished first in the high jump with a leap of 5-6 (1.68m). Her performance ranks 10th on the NCAA Division III performance list.
