Austin Belot named WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football's Austin Belot (Jr. Neenah, WI)  has been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Belot tallied two of UW-Eau Claire's five touchdowns as the Blugolds defeated Loras College (Iowa) 35-3 on Sept. 7. He scored from 58 yards out late in the first quarter and again from 1-yard out late in the second to cap a 93-yard drive. On the day, Belot racked up 168 yards on 17 carries, averaging 9.9 yards per rush.
