MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Hallee Hoeppner (Sr.—Winona, MN) and Collin Miller (Sr.—Rochester, MN/Schaeffer Academy) have been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.
Hoeppner helped get the Blugolds off to a 1-0 start with a 71-33 win over College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) on Nov. 8. The D3hoops.com Preseason All-America First Team selection tallied 21 points in 23 minutes played, on 8-of-9 shooting, to go along with nine rebounds, three assists, and one blocked shot.
Miller won all four events - the 200-yard medley relay, 50-yard breaststroke (25.71), 100-yard breaststroke (56.77), and 200-yard freestyle relay on against NCAA Division II opponent St. Cloud State University (Minn.) on Nov. 9. He had a come-from-behind win as the anchor of the 200-yard freestyle relay. His 100-breaststroke time was a pool record and is currently the top time in the WIAC and third in the nation.
