MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's track sprinter Carly Fehler (Sr.-Oak Creek, WI) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced today by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Fehler won two events and improved in the national rankings at the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) Showcase on Feb. 13.  She won the 60-meter dash, posting a time of 7.73, which is currently second in the nation and just .05 seconds off the fastest time in NCAA Division III.  Fehler also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.44.  Her time in the 200 also ranks second nationally.
