EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team could not hold onto an early lead in its last NCHA regular season matchup against the College of St. Scholastica. The Blugolds outshot the Saints 38-23, but it was not enough as they fell 3-5.
The Blugolds came out aggressive and took an early lead in the first period. Jordan Singer (Jr.-Lino Lake, Minn./Centennial) got the first goal of the night at 3:53 to put the Blugolds on the board 1-0. He would come back five minutes later and score his second goal of the night and increase the Blugolds lead to 2-0.
