EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's hockey player Jordan Singer (Jr.-Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) has been named both the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Athlete of the Week, both groups announced today.
Singer scored two goals and picked up an assist in a 5-3 win over Hamline University (Minn.) on Saturday. Singer got things going and started a scoring rally for the Blugolds in the second period when he scored his third goal of the season at 7:55. The Blugolds followed his goal with three more that period and he was able to assist on one of them, his second assist of the season. In the third period, Singer clinched the win, scoring the last goal of the night at 5:35. Friday night in a 5-0 win over Bethel University (Minn.), Singer scored the game's first goal, which proved to be the game-winner, early in the second period.
