Men's Tennis Takes Down Scranton

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis picked up an 8-1 victory over The University of Scranton (Pa.) on the fourth day of its spring break trip.

The Blugolds are now 18-1 on the season after winning 18 straight competitions.

Eau Claire won every match except at No. 2 singles.

Chris Kuna (Jr.-Edina, Minn.) had the Blugolds' best finish in singles play, winning 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 spot.

On the doubles side, Dirk Van Rybroek (Jr.-Madison, Wis./Edgewood) and Eric Wollum (Sr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial), along with Florent Marco (So.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) and Ryan Vande Linde (Fr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) won 8-6 at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Tomorrow the Blugolds will wrap up their trip to South Carolina with two matches.
