Men's Tennis Falls to Nationally Ranked Opponent

SAINT PETER, Minn. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team struggled at 30th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.), falling 9-0 at Swanson Tennis Center today.

This was the first time since February 7, 2009 when the Blugolds lost by a score of 9-0. Coming in to today, the Blugolds had won at least two matches in their 24 duals this season. Eau Claire drops to 21-4 on the year.

Chris Kuna (Jr.-Edina, Minn.) played the closest match as he went into a super-tiebreaker. In the No. 1 singles spot, he lost the first set 6-2 before winning the second 7-5. But, he fell in the super-tiebreaker 10-6.

Next Friday and Saturday the Blugolds will host competition that will include UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater.
