EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team picked up two wins at the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight.
The Blugolds opened competition against UW-La Crosse and won 5-1 while defeating UW-Oshkosh 5-0 later. The teams did not play all nine flights, but stopped action after a team won five matches to conserve time due to playing on a smaller court indoors.
Eau Claire won all six doubles matches in the two dual competitions. Florent Marco (So.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) and Ryan Vande Linde (Fr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) limited their opponents' scores in both matches as they picked up two 8-1 victories in the No. 3 spot.
