Neave & Satterlee Named AVCA All-Americans

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire volleyball players Emily Neave (Sr.-Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and Anne Satterlee (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon) have been named 2012 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans, the organization announced today.

Satterlee was a second team recipient while Neave was selected to the third team. This is the first time since 2006 two Blugolds were named second and third team selections.

Satterlee, who was the WIAC Player of the Year this season, ranked second on the team and fourth in the WIAC with 4.12 points per set. She was fourth in the conference and second on the team with 3.36 kills per set and sixth in the WIAC and first on the team with a .273 hitting percentage. Satterlee was also was also fourth on the team with 40 service aces and third with 91 total blocks.

Neave led the Blugolds and is third in the conference averaging 10.59 set assists per set. She had a total of 1,440 assists this season. Neave was also fifth on the team with 32 service aces.
