LA CROSSE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball team had a tough night at Viterbo University, falling 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-12) to the V-Hawks.
The Blugolds (3-2) finished with 30 kills and 22 errors, compiling an attack percentage of just .080. Viterbo (7-3) hit .341 and recorded 41 kills with just 12 errors.
Kelly Schuh (Jr.-Appleton, Wis./Hortonville) led the Blugolds with seven kills while Anne Satterlee (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon) finished with six kills.
Lauren Sutherland (Jr.-Dayton, Minn./Meadow Creek Christian) finished with a team-high nine digs while Emily Neave (Sr.-Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) led the Blugolds with 15 of the team's 27 set assists.
Eau Claire is 5-3 all-time against Viterbo, with all three losses coming in the last three meetings going back to 2009.
This weekend the Blugolds will be at the Augsburg College Tournament in Minneapolis, Minn. The first match is against Northwestern College (Minn.) on Friday at 2 p.m.
