Eau Claire, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team took to the road for the first time this season as they traveled across state lines to St. Peter, MN to take on the Gustavus Adolphus Golden Gusties at the Don Roberts Ice Rink. After scoring the game's first goal, the Blugolds would maintain their high intensity to secure the 3-0 win.

Box Score

In the first frame, the Blugolds' offensive pressure shined early as Simon Sagissor (So. – Stillwater, MN) would find a loose puck out in front, away from a scrum, and would put it in the back of the net to tally the game's first score.

In the second, Eau Claire would hit the ice hard and extend their lead to 2-0 after Nathan Dingmann (Jr. – Plymouth, MN/Wayzata) glided through the Gustie zone and shimmy-shooked the Gustavus goalie for his second goal on the year.

Dingmann wasn't done there as he would put home a rebound just under five minutes into the third period for his second of the evening.

Goaltender Zach Dyment (Jr. – Abbotsford, BC/Yale Secondary) would stop all 24 shots he faced to earn his first shutout on the year and increase his record to 2-0-1.

The Blugolds will head back on the road Saturday, November 16th as they travel to St. Paul, MN to take on the Augsburg Auggies with a game time set for 7 PM.
