EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region Teams were announced Thursday, with Arianna Barrett (So.-Lakeville, MN/North) and Kendra Baierl (Jr.-Marshfield, WI/ Columbus Catholic) making the list.
Barrett earned a spot on the Midwest First Team after earning Honorable Mention honors a year ago along with being the regional's Freshman of the Year. The sophomore finished the 2019 regular season with 365 kills in total, which finished off third in the WIAC. She averaged 3.48 kills/set, up from 2.76 her freshman year.
Baierl, who also earned First Team All-WIAC honors, was named Midwest Region Honorable Mention. The junior contributed 214 kills while posting a hitting percentage of .284, both career highs.
