Indoor Track & Field National Qualifiers announced

INDIANAPOLIS (Blugolds.com) – The 2020 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field participants were announced on Sunday and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will have four women at the championships and the Blugold men will have entries in nine events.

Men's Entries | Women's Entries

For each individual event, including the heptathlon for the men and pentathlon for the women, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event, the top 12 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted.

Earning a trip to the championships for the Eau Claire women are:

Megan Best (Fr. – Oshkosh, WI/West) – 60m, seeded 20th

Anna Schueth (Fr. – Hartland, WI/Arrowhead) – 800m, seeded 19th

Bailey Waldhauser (Jr. – Loyal, WI) – high jump, seeded 14th

Megan Wallace (Jr. – Burlington, WI) – pentathlon, seeded 10th

The men will send two relays and six individuals that will compete in seven events:

KJ Munn (Sr. – Bayport, MN/St. Croix Preparatory Academy – 400m, seeded 9th

Kyler Lueck (Sr. – Germantown, WI/Wisconsin Lutheran) – 800m, seeded 1st

4x400m relay (Munn, Hunter Henk (Sr. – Beldenville, WI/River Falls), Jordan Lijewski (So. – Roseville, MN), Dietrich Schwoerer (So. – McFarland, WI) – seeded 1st

Distance Medley Relay (Jake Petri (Jr. - Cottage Grove, MN/East Ridge), Arik Skifstad (So. – Eau Claire, WI/North), Dylan Lueck (Jr. – Germantown, WI/Wisconsin Lutheran), Kyler Lueck) – seeded 3rd

Alex Boehlen (Fr. Neenah, WI) – shot put, seeded 7th

Dylan Cooper (Sr. -Holmen, WI) – heptathlon, seeded 1st

Abrahm Schroedl (Jr. – De Forest, WI) – heptathlon, seeded 2nd

Marcus Weaver (Fr. - Lewiston, MN/Lewiston-Altura) – heptathlon, seeded 3rd and high jump, seeded 14th

The championships will be held March 13-14 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with Visit Winston-Salem and Guilford College serving as hosts.
