Eleven Blugolds win events at Warren Bowlus Multi & Open

MENOMONIE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire track and field teams competed at the Warren Bowlus Multi & Open this weekend, with several Blugolds winning events.

For the Blugold men, Dietrich Schwoerer (So. – McFarland, WI) won the 600m with a time of 1:24.69 while Kyler Lueck (Sr. – Germantown, WI/Wisconsin Lutheran) won the 800m with a time of 1:53.72.

Connor Dolan (Jr. – Nekoosa, WI/Assumption) won the 3000m, clocking in at 8:44.25 while TJ Lui (Dousman, WI/Kettle Moraine) had the winning mark in the triple jump (13.42m, 44-0.50).

Dylan Cooper (Sr. -Holmen, WI) won the heptathlon with 5,325 points, setting a new facility record. Cooper won the shot put (13.45m, 44-1.5), long jump (6.68m, 21-11), and 60m hurdles (8.37).

On the women's side, Glory Hecker (Sr. - Stone Lake, WI/Hayward Center) won the 400m with a time of 59.89 while Laura Pedelty (Fr. – Chatfield, MN/Stewartville) turned in a winning time in the 800m (2:25.58).

Emma Drangstveit (Jr. – Lakeville, MN/North) won the 3000m with a 10:35.69 and Bailey Waldhauser (Jr. – Loyal, WI) had the winning leap in the triple jump (10.69m, 35-1.0).

Kalyssa Watters (Sr. – Marion, WI) took the top spot in the shot put with a toss of 13.01m (42-8.25) while Megan Wallace (Jr. – Burlington, WI) won the pentathlon after placing first in every event: shot put (11.95m, 39.2.5), long jump (5.05m, 16-7), high jump (1.57m, 5-1.75), 60m hurdles (9.36) and 800m (2:39.09).
