EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Seven UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action Saturday with six of them competing at home on Homecoming.

Women's Tennis

UW-Eau Claire 7, Winona State (Minn.) 2

The women's tennis team split their matches this weekend, picking up a 7-2 win over Winona State University (Minn.) on Friday and falling in a conference match 5-4 to UW-La Crosse on Saturday.

Football

UW-Stevens Point 23, UW-Eau Claire 17 (OT)

Down 17-7 to UW-Stevens Point headed into the fourth quarter, the football team came back and tied the game up at 17 to push it into overtime. But after turning the ball over, the Pointers scored and handed the Blugolds a 23-17 overtime loss on Homecoming at Carson Park today.

Hosting the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament this weekend, which highlighted 11 teams from Minnesota and Wisconsin, the volleyball team went 2-2, winning once Friday and once Saturday in the McPhee Physical Education Center. A total of 18 matches were played Friday and Saturday.

Women's Soccer

UW-Oshkosh 1, UW-Eau Claire 0

The women's soccer team traveled to UW-Oshkosh to take on the Titans in a WIAC matchup. The Titans got the lone goal of the game in the 51st minutes as the Blugolds fell 1-0 on the road.
