EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The women's volleyball and tennis teams were in action today with volleyball opening conference play at home and women's tennis on the road.
Volleyball
UW-Eau Claire 3, UW-Superior 1 (32-30, 22-25, 25-12, 25-19)
After a close first set and falling in the second set, the volleyball team won the final two sets to defeat UW-Superior 3-1 in the Blugolds' first conference match of the 2013 season in the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight. For the 11th straight match, Kelly Schuh led the Blugolds in kills with 15 while three others reached double figures.
Women's Tennis
The women's tennis team is competing at the ITA Tournament in St. Peter, Minn. this weekend. Action got underway Friday and concludes Sunday.
