LOUISVILLE, Ky. (blugolds.com) — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire softball coach Leslie Huntington has been elected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association board as the Division III representative, the organization announced Tuesday.

NFCA Release

Huntington is a member of the NFCA Hall of Fame and was elected to represent all of the NCAA Division III level. Huntington is entering her 22nd season as coach of the Blugolds, and is the program's all-time leader with 548 victories. She guided UW-Eau Claire to a WIAC Tournament title and into the NCAA Tournament last season.

"I'm honored to be elected by my peers to this leadership position in this great organization," Huntington said. "It's always at the forefront of my mind to find ways to give back to the game. This opportunity will allow me to continue doing that, and represent my respected colleagues and student-athletes in Division III. I look forward to this new challenge and doing my part to continue growing this amazing sport."

The NFCA was established in 1983 and has members from the professional, college, high school and travel ball levels.
