MADISON, Wis. (blugolds.com)--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Jordan Witzel (Sr. - Woodbury, MN/East Ridge) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 12-18.
Witzel led the Blugold offense to a 4-0 record during the week, putting down double-digit kills in all four matches. Following 14 kills to help the Blugolds win their conference opener against UW-Platteville on Sept. 14, Witzel continued her dominating attack at the UW-Eau Claire Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament with 3.45 kills/set at a .382 clip and was named to the eight-member all-tournament team.
