EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has been selected as a host for the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball First Round March 4-5 in Zorn Arena. UW-Eau Claire will host North Central College (MN), Wartburg College (IA) and Milliken University (IL).

The tournament will begin Friday, March 4th with a 5 p.m. matchup between Wartburg and Millikin. The Blugolds will face North Central at approximately 7:30 p.m. The two winners will play Saturday, March 5 at 5 p.m.
The Blugolds punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament after rolling through the WIAC tournament. Eau Claire defeated River Falls 61-54 in the quarterfinal before dominating Stout 87-68 in the semifinal round. In the WIAC title game, the Blugolds handed Whitewater a 77-63 loss to claim the conference's automatic bid.
Ticket sales will begin Wednesday, March 2 at 8 a.m. and can be purchased through the UWEC Service Center. Tickets will also be available at the door, starting one hour prior to each game time. Tickets will be $10 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and students – kindergarten through college. Tickets for children 5 and under are free.
