DE PERE, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's basketball team was on the road for their first game away from Zorn Arena for the season as they faced St. Nobert College in De Pere, WI. After a big first half from Jessie Ruden (Jr. - Rochester, MN/John Marshall), the Blugolds came away with their fourth straight win of the season.

Box Score

Jessie Ruden commanded the offense from beyond the arch as she hit 6 of her 7 three-pointers taken in the first half. Her sixth long range make extended the Blugold lead to 11 points just over halfway through the second quarter.

With Ruden's hot touch on offense, Bailey Reardon (Jr. - River Falls, WI) took care of the paint on the defensive end with seven rebounds on Eau Claire's end in the opening 20 minutes of play and tallied a game total of nine defensive boards. Adding to the stronghold on defense was Jade Ganski (So. - Rothschild, WI/Newman Catholic) who recorded three block and six defensive rebounds herself.

In the second half, Tyra Boettcher (Sr. - Menomonie, WI) took over the offense with the opening bucket and 13 second half points. Despite both teams shooting for a game low 26.7% in the 3rd quarter, Eau Claire bounced back by shooting 50% from the field and 19 points in the final 10 minutes to earn the 65-58 win over the Green Knights.
