Three Blugolds Recognized on NSCAA Scholar All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Blugolds.com) – Three UW-Eau Claire women's soccer players have been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) by being named to the Scholar All-North/Central Region team.

Gina Williams (Sr.-Madison, Wis./Verona Area) was named to the third team while Allie Stone (Jr.-Madison, Wis./Verona Area) and Paige LeGate (Jr.-Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) were honorably mentioned.

Williams, a kinesiology major with a 3.82 GPA, led the Blugolds and tied for first in the WIAC with 31 goals this season, a mark that ranked 10th best in program history for most points in a single season. She also led the Blugolds and WIAC with 14 goals and tied for first in the conference with five game-winners.

LeGate, a business major with a 3.88 GPA, led the Blugolds in assists this season with five, which also ranked seventh best in the WIAC. She also had four goals for a total of 13 points, second most on the team.

Stone, a kinesiology major with a 3.90 GPA, recorded four assists, second most on the team and tied for eighth in the conference. She also scored one goal, totaling six points for the season.

All three were named to the All-WIAC first team this season.
