Women's Hockey Team Award Winners Announced

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's hockey head coach Mike Collins recently announced the team award winners for the 2010-11 season.

Winning the Blugold Award was Kristin Faber (Sr.-Austin, Minn.). She led the team with 32 points this season (22 goals, 10 assists). In the Blugolds' season archives, her 32 points ranks second only behind her mark of 34 that she achieved last season. Her 22 goals is a school record for most in a season. Faber also holds a number of career school records, including 113 points and 67 goals. Faber was recently named an All-American, the first selection ever in program history, while she was named the NCHA's Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete.

Kelli Johnson (Sr.-Farmington, Minn.) was selected as the team's Student-Athlete. Johnson, a nursing major, holds a 3.55 grade point average. She played in all 27 games this season and finished with 15 points (five goals, 10 assists). Johnson had three game-winning goals. For her career, she played in 104 games and had 13 goals and 30 assists for 43 points.
