Kabe earns second team All-America status at nationals

GREENSBORO, N.C. (blugolds.com) — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire diver Quincy Kabe (Jr. - Buffalo, Minn.) secured second team All-America status during the second day of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday. Kabe placed 15th in the men's one-meter diving competition to become a second team All-American.

Results

Kabe scored a 430.05 in the morning perliminaries, which placed him 14th. That showing earned him a spot in the evening's consolation final, where he tallied a 418.30 to take seventh in the consolation competition and 15th overall. The top 16 divers are named All-Americans.

Kabe will also compete in the three-meter competition on Saturday.

Action resumes with Day 3 of the meet on Friday. The Blugolds have two competitors in action. Sarah Dahlk (Sr. - Verona, Wis./Middleton) will compete in women's one-meter diving, and Ella Weaver (Jr. - McFarland, Wis.) will swim in the women's 100-yard breaststroke. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. Eastern, with the finals slated for 6 p.m. Eastern.
