Blugolds Fly Past Warhawks in Conference Dual

WHITEWATER, Wis. (blugolds.com) The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming teams traveled to UW-Whitewater for the last conference dual of the season. The Blugolds had a clean sweep with the women winning 187-59 and the men winning 201-52. 

Results 

The men's and women's swimming and diving team went undefeated in the WIAC this season. This is the second year in a row that both sides have swept the conference season. 

The men and women both took first in the 200-Medley Relay with times of 1:36.83 and 1:51.06. On the men's side, Sam Ryf (Jr.- Berlin, WI) placed first in 100-Yard butterfly and the 200-Yard Freestyle. Sydney McGuine (Jr.-Huntley, IL) places first in the 200-Yard Medley Relay, 100-Yard Freestyle, and the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay. The Blugolds placed first in 29 out of the 32 events. 

UW-Eau Claire returns to the pool at the University of Minnesota First Chance Meet on February 3rd and 4th at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
