In La Crosse, Erin Schoenfelder (Sr.-Antioch, Ill./Antioch Community) grabbed the highlight of the night, winning the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:01.11.  Her time also set a new school record, breaking the previous one of 1:01.70 set Breanna McMullen in 2003.

The Blugold relays also performed well in La Crosse.

The 4x100-meter relay of Megan Mulligan (So.-Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger), Carly Fehler (So.-Oak Creek, Wis.), Brooke Patterson (So.-Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) and Jess Rupnow (Fr.-Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) won in a time of 47.83 seconds, missing the school record by .72 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Steph Rouse (So.-Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins), Patterson, Schoenfelder and Rupnow cruised to victory by almost ten seconds, winning with a time of 3:49.56.

Elaina Meurer (Fr.-Fond Du Lac, Wis./St. Mary's Springs) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 11:35.47

The Blugolds also got two outstanding distance performances at North Central.

Alyssa Sybilrud (Sr.-Burnsville, Minn.) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:46.29.  She finished almost ten seconds ahead of the nearest competitor.

Ashlyn Mauer (Sr.-Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) narrowly missed a school record in the 5,000-meter run as she claimed fifth in a time of 17:08.74.   She was just .14 seconds off Karen Schoenrock's 29-year old record.

The Blugolds will get to know La Crosse more than they already have in the next two weeks.  The final last chance meet will take place their next weekend before the NCAA Division III national meet commences on May 23, also in La Crosse.
