In a meet that was pushed back from Friday to Sunday because of inclement weather in western Wisconsin, Kelsey Weigel (Jr.-Marshfield, Wis.) won the heptathlon with a total of 4,443 points.  Weigel won four of the seven heptathlon events; the javelin, shot put, long jump and 200-meter dash.  She is currently ranked eighth in the country.

Indoor All-American Erin Schoenfelder (Sr.-Antioch, Ill.,/Antioch Community) took third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.80 seconds.  It was a personal best for Schoenfelder, who currently sits at 15th in the nation in that event.

Megan Mulligan (So.-Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger) grabbed third as well in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.42 seconds.

These three combined to a score 22 of the Blugolds 49 total points.  UW-La Crosse won the meet with 163 points.

The Blugolds will be represented in a slew of meets next weekend, as some will compete at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, starting Friday, while a slew of distance runners will travel to Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Mich., to compete at the Gina Relays, also starting Friday.  The majority of the team will be traveling to St. Mary's University in Winona, Minn., to compete at the St. Mary's Invite on Saturday.  All three meets will wrap on Saturday night.
