Blugolds finish 4th at Steven's Point Invitational

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire swimming and diving teams competed at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational on Saturday, with the men's team finishing in third place and the women's team finishing in fourth.

Men's 3 mtr Dive- Dylan Glumac-Berberich (Sr.—Fridley, MN) (563.60)

Women's 3 mtr Dive- Sarah Dahlk (397.15) (So.—Verona, WI/ Middleton)

Men's 1 mtr Dive- Dylan Glumac-Berberich (598.20)

Men's 50 yard Free- Collin Miller (Sr.—Rochester, MN/ Schaeffer Academy) (21.54)

Men's 100-yard Butterfly- Collin Miller (51.71)

Dylan Glumac- Berberich set a new pool record on the 1M while also beating the school record as well, taking down a 20-year old record. 

Martin Kocher (Fr.—St. Paul, MN/ Johnson) also got an NCAA zone cut on both boards 3M (462.40) and 1M (428.60). 

"The team fought through some really tough races and raced hard." said Head Coach Annie Ryder, "This is a very tired and broken-down team coming out of winter training. We had an incredible training trip and the team has trained incredibly hard. We saw some really good things during training trip and we are excite to see what they do once they get a little rest. Meets like this are part of the process and get them used to racing tired. They did a great job and we are looking forward to the championship season."
