WINNECONNE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team finished in third place out of 38 teams at the 2012 UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational today.
Eau Claire finished third with 93 points while Calvin won the invitational with 52. North Central was a close second with 58.
Two Blugolds finished in the top ten, led by Jeremy Kieser (Sr.-Verona, Wis.), who finished in third place overall with a time of 25:05.
Aaron Easker (Sr.-Eland, Wis./Wittenberg-Birnamwood) followed four seconds later, finishing in fourth place overall with a time of 25:09.
Two other Blugolds finished the top 25 runners. Matt Wenaas (Jr.-Chippewa Falls, Wis./McDonell) came in 24th with a time of 25:38, while teammate Adam Moline (So.-Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata) finished in just two seconds later in the 25th spot with a time of 25:40.
The Blugolds will be back in action next Friday, Oct. 19 at the Lake Wissota Invitational which gets underway at 5:00 p.m.
