LA CROSSE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The UWEC men and women's track and field team took to the brand-new Mitchell Hall Fieldhouse this Saturday for the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Blugolds continued to shine as UWEC collected six top-3 finishes during the meet.

Senior Yakob Ekoue (Sr. - Hopkins, Minn.) continued his season dominance by placing first in both the shot put (17.02m) and weight throw (18.74m). In the 200m dash, Colin McClowry (So. - Neenah, Wis.) put up a strong performance by placing second with a personal best of 22.14 seconds. This time puts him second in school history in the event.  

On the women's side, Catie Fobbe (Sr. - Annandale, Minn/Maple Lake) placed second in shot put (14.04m) and weight throw (17.46m), with both marks just under her personal bests. Freshman pole vaulter, Leah Zastrow (Fr. - Spencer, Wis), placed second with a height of 3.71m.
