Men's Tennis Earns NJAC All-Conference Honors

PITMANNJ (blugolds.com) - The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced their 2021 All-Conference teams on Tuesday. Of the 12 athletes receiving honors in the west division, five of them were Blugolds. 

Grant Mauthe (Sr. – Neenah, WI) and Hunter Roseth (So. – Lakeville, MN/South) both were named to the All-Conference West Division singles team. In his first spring season, Roseth helped the Blugolds with a record of 6-3.  Mauthe finished the season with an overall record of 4-6 while commanding UWEC No. 1 singles spot in most matches.  

Mauthe was also named to the West Division's doubles All-Conference team with partner Adam Burk (Sr. - Forest Lake, MN/Totino Grace). The pair compiled four wins in the six matches that they played together in. John Foley (so. - Wayzata, MN) and Matt Gilbert (Sr. - Minneapolis, MN/Washburn) were also earned West Division All-Conference honors with their overall record of 5-3. 

The Blugolds finished their season with an overall record of 9-3 and a conference record of 1-1 under coach Brian Biernat in his first season.
