The Blugolds fall to 0-4-0 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 1-1-0.

Coming into tonight's contest the Blugolds had not allowed a power play goal all season while the Wildcats' only two goals of the season came on the power play.  St. Catherine needed just a little over six minutes to get its power play going as Megan Killmer scored her third power play goal in two nights giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.

The second period saw the game's only even strength goal when the Wildcats' Alex Pederson scored at 18:30 extending the St. Catherine lead to 2-0.

Eau Claire countered in the third period when Lauren Norgren (Fr.-Fergus Falls, MN) scored a short-handed goal at 3:07 cutting the lead to 2-1.  The Wildcat power play came into play once again as Killmer scored her second goal of the evening at 15:51 giving St. Catherine a two-goal advantage.

After an Eau Claire timeout at 18:01 which saw the Blugolds pull their goalie after a penalty had been called against Katie Burkey (So.-Ramsey, MN/Anoka) for checking, St. Catherine scored an empty net goal at 18:56 to secure the Wildcat win.

Goalie Kim Van Brunt (Jr.-Eagle River, WI/Northland Pines) played the first two periods allowing two goals saving 14 shots.  Shania Johnson (Fr.-Park Rapids, MN) saw her first collegiate action playing 18:01 of the third period allowing one goal while saving 13 shots.

The Blugolds open WIAC play next weekend starting at UW-Superior on Friday, November 14.  Face off is set for 3:00 p.m.
