Grace Fair Selected to Academic All-District Team

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire women's swimmer Grace Fair (Jr.-Monticello, Minn.) has been named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Six At-Large First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Fair is a mass communications major with a 3.93 GPA.

This season, Fair won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title in the 100-yard freestyle and also competed at nationals. She was part of the Blugolds' 400-yard freestyle relay team that took 16th place at the NCAA Championships. At nationals, She also competed in the 200-yard medley relay and finished 20th while taking 37th in the 100-yard freestyle.

She has been part of two school records, the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Academic All-District  honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
