EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugold.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey team took on UW-Stevens Point in game two of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) semifinals (presented by Culver's) at Hobbs Ice Arena. Eau Claire came out with a 4 to 1 victory.

After a 5 to 1 victory for the Blugolds on Friday, the Pointers would score first with a back and forth first period.
Ellie Burris (So-Mound Westonka, MN/Mound Westonka) started the scoring for the Blugolds in the second period with an unassisted goal. A short time later, Lexi Wilson (Sr-Eagan, MN/Eagan) tallied the second goal at 5:59. The final Blugold goal in the second period came at 15:58 by Kelli Pritzlaff (Jr-Lakeville, MN/North).
Eau Claire maintained control in the third period and Hanna Zavoral (So-St. Paul, MN/Highland Park) added an empty net goal to seal the win.
The Blugolds dominated the Pointers in shots, outshooting Stevens Point 59-14 for the game and an impressive 33-0 in the second period alone.
With the win, Eau Claire punches their ticket to another WIAC title game against UW-River Falls. The two squads will play on Saturday, March 2 in River Falls. Continue to follow the action on Blugold Game Day or on the 'UWEC Blugolds' app.
