MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Austin Belot (Sr. - Neenah, WI) and Makenzie Bachmann (Sr. - Chaska, MN) have been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Belot (Sr., RB, Neenah, Wis./Neenah) set the school record for single game rushing yards by an individual – and fourth-best mark on the WIAC single-game list – after an explosive night rushing for 365 yards against Luther College (Iowa). While breaking the record, Belot tallied three touchdowns, two of which now rank as the fifth- (84 yards) and sixth- (80 yards) longest rushing touchdowns in school history. He finished the game with 17 total rushes and 21.4 yards per carry.
Bachmann (Sr., OH, Chaska, Minn./Chaska) led a balanced offensive attack as the Blugolds went 5-0 on the week. Her 52 kills (3.47 per set) on a .279 hitting percentage helped propel the Blugolds to wins over University of Northwestern (Minn.) on Sept. 1, and University of Texas-Dallas, Washington University-St. Louis (Mo.), Lewis & Clark College (Ore) and Carroll University (Wis.) at the Washington University Bear Invitational. Bachmann also tallied 37 digs, four blocks and two service aces on the week.
