WHITEWATER, WIS. (Blugolds.com) - Looking to turn it around and add a big conference win, the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire women's soccer team traveled to Whitewater fell short in a 3-0 loss, Saturday at Fiskum Field.
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater came out firing and scored twice with in the first ten minutes of the match. The second goal at the eight-minute mark was knocked in on a rebound. Eau Claire only managed two shots, none on goal, in the first half.
In the second half, it was more of the same. Eau Claire took three shots, with one of them being on goal. Deep into the second half, the Warhawks added one more insurance goal to make it a 3-0 game, where the score would remain until the final buzzer.
After winning three of four, the Blugolds have now dropped three in a row. Eau Claire (3-7-3) (2-2 WIAC) will continue their road trip next week Saturday in Steven's Point where they will take on the Pointers at 1:00 p.m.
