MOORHEAD, Minn. (Blugolds.com) - After dropping its last two matches, the Blugold soccer team rebounded to beat 10th-ranked Concordia Moorhead (Minn.) 1-0 this afternoon.

Both the Cobbers and Blugolds took several shots early in the period, but the game remained scoreless until the 30:41 minute mark. The Blugolds had several more shots on goal during the game – including three from Williams alone – but were denied by the Cobber goalie. In return, Eau Claire goalie Amanda Hakala (So.-Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area) staved off two more Cobber shots on goal during the second period, giving the Blugolds their second win of the season.

En route to the victory, Eau Claire outshot Concordia-Moorhead 16-8. Hakala played the entire 90 minutes and made two saves each period for a total of four saves during the game.
