Nerison & Hillesheim Receive Academic All-District Honors

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire soccer players Rachel Nerison (Jr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) and Megan Hillesheim (Sr.-Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine) have been named to this year's CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District Five College Division Team.

Nerison, a nursing major with a 3.94 cumulative grade point average, was named a second team selection. She has started all 19 games for the Blugolds so far and leads the team with seven goals and 19 points. She also has a team-best four game-winning goals, which is tied for best in the conference.

A defender, Hillesheim is also a nursing major and holds a 3.85 grade point average. She is part of a defense that has only allowed 17 goals in 19 games while her team has scored 38. The Blugolds are also outshooting opponents 344-182. Hillesheim has scored one goal this season and picked up an assist and was named to the All-District third team.
