MADISON, Wis. (blugolds.com) — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey player Sophie Rausch (Sr. - Fergus Falls, Minn.) was named the WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week for Jan. 2-8. Rausch received the honor for the second time this season.
Rausch notched the 100th point of her collegiate career by tallying four across a two-game series against St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Jan. 6 and 7. She assisted the Blugolds' only goal in the series opener and added two goals and an assist as they bounced back with a 4-2 win in the finale. Her assist on the go-ahead goal in the third period was the 100th point of her career.
Rausch leads the Blugolds with 19 goals and 27 points this season.
