Jordyn McAlpine (Sr. – Stillwater, Minn./Mahtomedi) and Sam Bandholz (So. – Richfield, Wis./Slinger) received assists on the opening goal. Hallie Sheridan (Sr. – Fergus Falls, MN) tallied the first of her two assists on the night on Scherling's goal. Later in the period, Sheridan found the back of the net herself by poking in a loose puck out front to extend the UWEC lead to 3-0. Scherling and Sophie Rausch (Sr. – Fergus Falls, Minn.) earned assists on the third Blugold goal.

The final period saw a similar story to the first 40 minutes of play as the Blugolds outshot the LumberJills 14-3 for a contest total advantage of 49-6. Sophie Rausch continued her stellar year with a goal placed in the top corner off her back hand at the 1:44 mark to push the lead to 4-0. Minutes later, Sam Moehle (Fr. – Farmington, Minn.) netted her second goal of the year. Eau Claire would add one more tally from Ellie Andersen (So. – Fergus Falls, Minn.) at 9:29 of the third to increase their lead to 6-0. Anderson earned her first collegiate goal on the tally to give Eau Claire their highest victory margin of the year.
