Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Bobby Krig Invitational

LE SUEUR, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team moved up three spots from the first day to take fifth place out of 16 teams at the Bobby Krig Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.).

Gustavus won the two-day, three-round event with 866 strokes while Saint John's University (Minn.) was second with 871. UW-Stout was third with 884 and the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) was fourth with 886. Eau Claire had 890.

Jimmy Hutchings (Sr.-Hudson, Wis.) took home medalist honors as he was even for the tournament with 212 strokes. A total of 96 golfers competed in this weekend's invite.

Four other Blugolds finished in the top 40.

This upcoming weekend, the Blugolds will be at the Saint John's Invitational.
