COLFAX, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team took fifth place at its home meet, the Blugold Invitational, Friday at the Whitetail Golf Course.

The Blugolds finished with 134 points. Carelton won the meet with 49. St. Olaf beat out Minnesota on a tiebreaker for second and third, and St. Benedict took fourth.
Lucy Ramquist (Jr.-River Falls, Wis.) had a sensational race for Eau Claire, finishing eighth in a time of 22:44.2 over the course of 6,000 meters.
The Blugolds packed it up in the middle to round out the scoring. Kelsey Jaeger (Jr.-Waukesha, Wis./West) finished 30th in 23:15, and Clara Williamson (Jr.-Skokie, Ill./Niles North) finished 33rd in 23:20.
Sydney Pretasky (So.-La Crosse, Wis./Central) finished 41st in 23:30.2, and Katryna Williams (Jr.-Watertown, Wis.) was the last Blugold scorer as she came in 54th place in 23:43.
Eau Claire is off until Oct. 18 when it heads to the UW-Oshkosh AAE Invitational. Race time is set for 10:30 a.m.
