Women's Tennis Falls for First Time this Season

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – After winning three contests to open the 2013-14 season, the UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team fell to UW-Whitewater 8-1 on the Olson Outdoor Courts today.

Renee Nelson (Jr.-Madison, Wis./La Follette) and Paige Kuepers (So.-Green Bay, Wis./Southwest) secured the only victory for the Blugolds today, winning a close No. 3 doubles match 9-7.

Eau Claire is now 3-1 on the season while Whitewater remains perfect with a 3-0 record.

The Blugolds will host two more teams tomorrow, facing UW-River Falls at 9 a.m. and the College of Saint Benedict (Minn.) at 3:30 p.m.
