JANESVILLE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team fell 5-3 to UW-La Crosse in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Team Tournament semifinal match Saturday at the Premier Tennis and Fitness Center.
In singles play, Madison Rossebo (Sr.-Minnetonka, MN) defeated Kimmy Mrozek at number two singles, winning by scores of 4-6, 6-2, 10-7. At number four singles, Sarah Henderson (Fr.-Prior Lake, MN) defeated Jennifer Graham 6-3, 6-1.
In number two doubles, the team of Henderson and Colleen McCullough (Jr.-Maple Grove, MN/Osseo) earned an 8-3 win over Graham and Rachael Wabers.
The Blugolds wrap up their season with a 14-5 record.
