Nikki Kothenbeutel Earns Women's Hockey Team Awards

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire women's hockey player Nikki Kothenbeutel (Jr.-Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) earned two team awards for the Blugolds' 2012-13 season.

Kothenbeutel, who earned the team's student-athlete and Blugold awards, tied for a team-high seven assists this season while also scoring six goals to finish second on the team with 13 points. She scored one game-winning goal and had one power-play goal.

At the end of the season, Kothenbeutel was named to the NCHA All-Academic Team for the second time in her career.

She also served as a team captain for the 2012-13 season.
