Women's Hockey Plays St. Scholastica to Scoreless Tie

DULUTH, Minn. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's hockey team, facing the College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) for the second day in a row, played the Saints to a 0-0 overtime draw today.

The Blugolds had 27 shots in the game. Emily Larson (Jr.-Bemidji, Minn.) and Emily Haluska (Sr.-Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) both led the Blugolds with four shots apiece.

Paige Turner (Fr.-Iron River, Wis./Duluth East) led the Blugolds for the whole game in the net. She stopped all 37 of the Saints' shots.  

The tie brought the Blugolds to a 6-11-4 record, with a 5-8-3 record in NCHA play. St. Scholastica is 10-7-4 overall and 7-6-3 in the NCHA after today's game.

The tie also broke a five game losing streak for the Blugolds.

The Blugolds' next games will be a weekend series at Finlandia University (Mich.). Friday's game will begin 5p.m. Eastern.
